The Road opening permit is required because...Ruby,

The Road opening permit is required because Metricon needs to excavate an area within the Council owned road reserve to access stormwater drainage connection. During our Preliminary Contract signing, we were informed that the large size of our house (and other reasons which I do not exactly remember) meant that the amount of water expected to discharge away is high, and therefore an effective stormwater disposal system to Hydraulic Engineers details, is required as per Council conditions.

I vaguely remember that when the total volume of water discharged from a site exceeds or does not exceed a certain volume of water per second, it may be discharged into the street gutter by means of one or more pipes...I think that is what this stormwater disposal is all about, but I may have misunderstood. Does your builder tell you if this is required?
I don't think we need one as construction has commenced.. I have never heard of it before.

Thanks for posting your contact for the joinery place :)Rubyamhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17640898264219014121noreply@blogger.com
